She has been promoted to a full Professor of Economics, making her the first female in Ghana to hold this prestigious title after receiving approval from the University Council.

Prof. Nkansa Asante currently serves as the Vice Dean at the Faculty of Social Sciences within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at KNUST. Prior to this promotion, she held the position of Head of Department of Economics at the university from 2019 to 2022.
