After a contentious exchange in Parliament, Kennedy Agyapong and Sylvester Tetteh, members of Parliament, have made up.
This occurs just hours after the two, during Tuesday, February 13, nearly got into a fistfight in Parliament while it was in session.
The altercation started after what seemed to be a standard greeting when Bortianor-Ngleshie-Amanfro MP Sylvester Tetteh attempted to welcome Kennedy Agyapong as he entered the room.
The two lawmakers from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have smoked peace pipes following a private meeting with the leadership.
Following the close encounter, the Assin Central MP and his colleague from Bortianor-Ngleshie Amanfro greeted each other politely in the deputy majority leader Alexander Afenyo Markin’s office.
The majority leadership, led by Deputy Majority Leader Alexander Afenyo Markin, arranged a closed-door discussion, according to sources close to the lawmakers, which was essential in reducing the tension.
At the end of the discussion, there was mutual understanding and reconciliation after Mr. Agyapong and Mr. Tetteh were able to voice their concerns.
