Two days after the mass shooting in Uvalde, Texas, the spouse of one of the teachers killed died of a heart attack, according to reports.
Joe Garcia was the spouse of Irma Garcia, a Robb Elementary School teacher for 23 years.
Mrs. Garcia was one of two teachers slain by a shooter who killed 21 people, 19 of them were children.
The couple, who had been married for 24 years, leaves behind four children.
Mrs. Garcia’s nephew, John Martinez, stated on Twitter that Mr. Garcia “passed away due to sadness” following his wife’s murder.
