Born on February 2, 1999, Jeffrey Chidera Okudah plays cornerback for the Detroit Lions in the National Football League (NFL). Before being chosen third overall by the Lions in the 2020 NFL Draft, he played college football at Ohio State, where he was a consensus All-American in 2019.
In Grand Prairie, Texas, Okudah attended South Grand Prairie High School. He made his Ohio State University commitment in January 2017 and was a five-star prospect.

Okudah participated in all 14 games while a true freshman at Ohio State in 2017 and recorded 17 tackles. He participated in 13 games as a sophomore in 2018 and made 32 tackles. He made his first career interception against the Miami Redhawks as a junior in 2019. Okudah has 34 tackles, 9 passes defended, and 3 interceptions in 2019 as a junior. He was selected as a finalist for the Jim Thorpe Award and unanimously selected to the 2019 College Football All-America Team for his play during that season.
