Following their chance encounter years ago, Jamal Hinton and Wanda Dench are continuing their tradition of spending time together for Thanksgiving, as seen in a photo the two shared on Tuesday of them standing next to The Cheesecake Factory restaurant.

The true purpose of Thanksgiving is to bring people together.

For the seventh year, the touching story of a grandmother accidentally messaging a teenager and bringing the two strangers together for the food-filled holiday has been told.

On Tuesday, Jamal Hinton posted a picture of Wanda Dench and him outside The Cheesecake Factory, showing that the two are still continuing their widely popular ritual.

“To answer all your questions, yes Thanksgiving year 7 is planned out! See you guys Thursday!” Using the emojis of a turkey and a black heart, he captioned the image.

In the cheerful and enthusiastic comment section, one user referred to the reunion as “the Thanksgiving tradition I never knew I needed.”

One reader even suggested that Hallmark make a movie based on Hinton and Dench. Many readers expressed their eagerness for the annual update to the comforting story.

In 2016, Hinton, who was 17 at the time, received an accidental text message from Dench telling her that Thanksgiving dinner would be held at her house on November 24 at 3 p.m. The teen asked Dench who gave him the message, and he replied, “Your granny,” adding an emoji of an elderly woman.
