The musical duo recording and performed a lot of songs together with one of their very first songs hitting number 122 on Billboard 200 chart in 1969.

Some of their popular songs include; Diamond Girl, Nine houses, Intone my servant, and Ruby Jean and Billie Lee – a song about their wives.

The band went through several hiatus and reunions between 1969 to 1992 with their final reunion happening in 2004.

They released a new album since their break up in 1992, titled Traces.

Until Jim Seals’ death on June 7, 2022, he was still married to his wife, Ruby Jean.

The two had been married since 1970.

Jim survived by his wife and their three children together; Joshua, Juliet, and Sutherland.
