Inna Mikhailovna Churikova was a Soviet and Russian film and theatre actress. Churikova was born in Belebey, Bashkir ASSR, Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. In the early 1950s, Inna moved with her mother to Moscow. Inna was bent on becoming an actress from an early age: as a schoolgirl she studied at the drama studio attached to the Stanislavsky Theatre and later, after a few failures, entered Shchepkin Drama School.

In addition to her work in the theater, she performed in more than 80 films, including “That Very Munchhausen”(1979) written by Grigory Gorin and directed by Mark Zakharov; “Wartime Romance” (1983) directed by Pyotr Todorovsky; and “The Chicken Ryaba” (1994) directed by Andrei Konchalovsky.

Inna died on Saturday at the age of 79. The cause of death was reported to be heart failure, although she had been in poor health for several months.
