The Founder of the New Force Movement, Nana Kwame Bediako, has unveiled his plan to create over one million jobs through food processing if elected into power. This initiative aims to enhance the salaries and living standards of the employed individuals.

Nana Kwame Bediako shared his vision during a meeting with leaders of the Trades Union Congress (TUC) in Accra on May 23. He engaged in discussions with the TUC leadership to introduce his proposed policies that would be implemented if he assumes power after the upcoming December 7 elections.

His focus on job creation spans across various sectors, with a key emphasis on agriculture. Nana Kwame Bediako highlighted the potential for job opportunities within food processing, citing the example of cocoa production and the lucrative chocolate industry.

Moreover, he emphasized leveraging Ghana’s abundant natural resources to boost the country’s economy, with special attention to healthcare and education sectors as well.

Dr. Anthony Yaw Baah, the Secretary-General of TUC, commended Nana Kwame Bediako for his commitment to national development and innovative policies. Dr. Baah mentioned a unique proposal by Nana Kwame Bediako to “send the sea to Kumasi,” which upon further explanation turned out to be a metaphorical representation of dredging the sea to Kumasi for economic benefit.

Nana Bediako’s engagement with various stakeholders includes promises to address pressing issues such as excessive taxes suffocating businesses. During a meeting with members of the Ghana Union of Traders Association (GUTA), he assured them of revising taxes to make them more reasonable if he assumes the presidency.

His pledge to alleviate the tax burden on businesses stems from the belief that a favorable tax environment is essential for economic growth and profitability. Nana Kwame Bediako expressed his commitment to revising taxes to enable local businesses to thrive and contribute significantly to the national economy.

As the December elections draw near, Nana Bediako continues to garner support and articulate his vision for a prosperous and economically vibrant Ghana.
