“I support Dede Ayew but if Côte d’Ivoire wins, I will be very happy”- Wife (VIDEO)

The beautiful wife of the captain of the Black Stars of Ghana, Adre Dede Ayew, Yvonne Ayew has stated that though she supports his husband, she will be very happy and glad if Côte d’Ivoire wins the 2023 AFCON.

In an interview, Ayew’s wife who happens to be Ivorian was asked which country she would be supporting at the 2023 AFCON and her response was she supports her husband, Andre but if Côte d’Ivoire wins, she will be very happy.

The whole interview was in French however in translation, the Interviewer asked: “You’re Ivorian, so who are you supporting [at the Afcon]?”

Yvonne: “This year, I support Andre but if Côte d’Ivoire wins, I will be very, very happy.”

The 2023 AFCON is ongoing as of Monday, January 15, 2024, and five matches have been played so far with Ghana losing their opening match to Cape Verde. The tournament will last for 30 days; from January 13 to February 11, 2024. 

The hosting country of the 2023 AFCON is Ivory Coast. As a host country, they eased to a 2-0 win after a raucous opening ceremony delighted fans at the Ebimpe Olympic Stadium in Abidjan.
