Ghanaian hip hop and hiplife recording artist, Jason Gaisie, popularly known as Pappy Kojo has stated that, the Black Stars of Ghana led by André Dede Ayew can not do what Messi did with the Argentina national football team in the 2022 World Cup.
In a post made on Monday, January 15, 2024, on ‘X’ formerly known as Twitter, the famous Ghanaian musician stated that even though the Argentina national football team lost their first game and went ahead to win the World Cup because they had Messi, he does not think Ghana can do same even though we also have the likes of Dede Ayew and Mohamed Kudus.
Taking to ‘X’, he wrote; “remember Argentina lost their first game and went ahead to win the World Cup because they have Messi and Ghana we lost yesterday and I don’t think we are going to win any match because we are just messy”.

This comes after Ghana lost its opening group match at AFCON 2023. Ghana lost 1 – 2 to Cape Verde and according to Pappy Kojo, Ghana can’t do the magic the Argentina national team did in the 2022 World Cup after losing their opening group match.
It could be recalled that the 2022 FIFA World Cup which happened in Qatar was won by the Argentina National Football team.
Though the team lost their opening match, they managed to come out with flying colours with the help of Messi who was their captain. Messi finished the tournament with seven goals and three assists in his seven appearances helping the team to their victory.
