The former President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, recently took his campaign to the Amasaman Constituency in the Greater Accra Region. During his visit, Mahama urged voters not to support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the upcoming December elections, accusing the party of deceiving Ghanaians.
Mahama highlighted issues such as rising inflation and fuel prices, blaming the NPP for causing economic damage that would take years to repair. He emphasized the importance of making informed choices in elections, as the consequences of a wrong decision could last for years.
The former president expressed confidence in the NDC’s ability to win the elections and called on Ghanaians to show the ruling party the exit through the ballot box. He also challenged the NPP’s claim of being better economic managers, stating that Ghanaians would not be deceived for a third time.
Mahama raised concerns about challenges with the provisional voter’s register and called on the Electoral Commission to address them. He expressed certainty in the NDC’s victory on December 7th, emphasizing the importance of a fair and transparent electoral process.
