Actor, director, and narrator Morgan Freeman was born in the United States on June 1, 1937. In addition to playing a variety of roles in a wide range of film genres, he is well known for his distinctive deep voice. Over the course of his more than five-decade career, he has won numerous honors, including an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Golden Globe Award. Freeman was married to Jeanette Adair Bradshaw from October 22, 1967, to November 18, 1979, and then to Myrna Colley-Lee on June 16, 1984.
