How did Roose Bolton kill Robb Stark?

Roose approaches Robb, who has been wounded by Frey’s arrows, and stabs him while saying, “Jaime Lannister sends his regards.” Outside the fortress, Frey, Bolton, and possibly Karstark warriors attack and annihilate their fellow Northmen and rivermen.

Roose’s physique is unremarkable; he is neither chubby, lean, nor strong. He has pasty skin and a pale chest that is velvety and hairless. Roose’s fingers are short and powerful. He has a plain face, beardless and ordinary, with his odd eyes, lighter than stone and darker than milk, like two white moons. The color is also known as “ghost grey” at times. His eyes are paler than his son Ramsay’s.

Roose, despite his demeanor, is ruthless and unforgiving. He is thought to be chilly and cunning. Roose’s voice is small and gentle; he rarely raises his voice, requiring those who listen to concentrate and remain silent. Roose sips his alcohol, preferring hippocras or hot spiced wine, though he will drink ale and normal wine.  “A peaceful land, a quiet people,” is Roose’s personal credo.
