GRA records show that Cheddar owes over GHC7 million in unpaid taxes.

Cheddar has avoided an amazing total of GHC2,088,228 in taxes for 2021 and GHC5,096,536 in taxes for 2022, according to GRA documents.

After significant fines for failing to file his income tax are revealed in documents from the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Nana Kwame Bediako, also known as Cheddar, is involved in several tax evasion scandals.

Afia Schwarzenegger reacts to Cheddar’s chase by GRA on her Instagram handle @queenafiaschwarzenegger, saying:

“If you live in a glass house, Don’t throw stones”…

“GRA only goes after people owing them!!!!!”

Given that Bediako aspires to lead the nation, and that the estimated amount of taxes evaded exceeds GHC7 million, there are grave doubts regarding his commitment to financial responsibility and transparency.

Cheddar’s pledge to significantly advance and transform Ghanaian politics is the centerpiece of his presidential campaign platform.

However, his repeated failure to pay taxes, the most fundamental civic duty, seriously calls into question his credibility.

This contradicts his ostensibly real support for positive change, especially in light of his recent political remarks and his declaration that he plans to run for the presidency, the highest office in the land.

Undoubtedly, Cheddar should take note of this most recent GRA disclosure and address these allegations of tax evasion honestly and responsibly.

Given the general election this year, voters may find it challenging to reconcile Cheddar’s widely reported promise to make changes with this apparent financial inconsistency.
