Ghanaians are not winning Grammys because of jealousy and hate – Lydia Forson

Critics who criticised Yaw Tog for his notorious Stormzy remark have a message from Lydia Forson. The actress claimed that envy is sometimes masked by ‘humility’ in an effort to bring successful people down.

In a series of tweets, Lydia Forson expressed support for Yaw Tog despite the agenda that some Twitter users had against him. She reposted the young rapper from Kumerica’s apologetic tweet and added a message.

He didn’t even need to arrive and explain. I did, since I knew what he was trying to express. But so many of you choose to respond to a brief (naughty) tape aimed to drag him. How far should “humble yourself” people go? Let the youth be! You like that, I see.

Additionally, Ms. Forson outlined the reasons why the majority of individuals found Yaw Tog’s unguarded remark offensive. “Humble yourself,” she said, “humble yourself every day.

However, what they really mean is that they don’t want you to brag about your accomplishment in front of them so they can feel better about themselves. Jokes.”
Ghanaians will “humiliate” you to death and persuade you that this is the ONLY way you can survive.

I find it hilarious since I never get upset when someone claims to be the greatest or better. Even when I think I’m the best, it doesn’t diminish my brilliance. You guys should unwind, she continued.

The fact that Lydia Forson continued after that shows that she was in a good mood. She proceeded to reprimand the assailants for going after Yaw Tog because of his “harmless remark. “You’ll be using ‘humility’ to cover up your jealousy. Every time someone becomes successful, you position yourself to be judge, jury, manager, and advisor. Why not invest all that advice in yourself if you know so much. Humility monitors.”

When Yaw Tog revealed during an interview with Mz Gee on TV3’s NewDay program that he helped British rapper Stormzy become more well-known in Ghana, he received a tonne of anger on social media.

Hip-hop fans on Twitter took exception to this and said that the statement was disrespectful to the worldwide musician. Yaw Tog has publicly apologized and clarified the situation while also thanking Stormzy for promoting him to the British market and other markets.
