Kofi Sarpong, a well-known Gospel musician from Ghana, recently shared the surprising story of how he found himself in the music industry despite his initial hesitation.

In an interview on Joy Prime’s Prime Morning with KMJ, Sarpong opened up about his transition from being a dedicated police officer to a renowned musician, highlighting key moments that influenced his musical journey.

Initially, Sarpong had no interest in fame, as he was fully committed to his role as a police officer. He recalled turning down his current manager, Kwesi Ernest, who persistently encouraged him to explore a career in music after an outstanding performance at a church event.

Despite his initial reservations, Sarpong’s passion for law enforcement clashed with the idea of pursuing music while being a deputy superintendent of police.

This unexpected turn of events led Kofi Sarpong to embrace a music career that has since brought him recognition and success in the industry.
