Ebony’s family paid her an emotional tribute on the sixth anniversary of her death. The family gathered at Osu Cemetery for a wreath-laying ceremony in her honor, taking turns sharing a few words – a kind gesture that brought back memories and tears.

Ebony’s mother prayed for her soul, asking her and other ancestors to protect her from premature death, accidents, grief, and unfulfilled dreams in an emotional voice.

Ebony’s sister, Yaa Foriwaa Opoku-Kwarteng, was overcome with emotion and was at a loss for words. She begged for the soul of her sister to remain at peace.

To prevent a situation similar to the one that befell his daughter on February 8, 2018, on the Sunyani road, her father, Mr. Opoku-Kwarteng, took advantage of the occasion to campaign for road safety.

Six years have passed since the amazing Ghanaian singer passed away on February 8, 2024, therefore Yaw Foriwaa, Ebony’s older sister, and her late sibling have a somber moment today.

Leading by Mr. Opoku Kwarteng, the family assembles once more at Accra’s Osu Cemetery to commemorate her life and memory through their yearly custom of placing wreaths on her tomb.
