Harry Houdini, born Erik Weisz on March 24, 1874, in Budapest, Hungary (then part of Austria-Hungary), was one of the most famous magicians and escape artists in history. Houdini had several siblings, both brothers and sisters. He was the fourth of seven children born to Mayer Samuel Weisz and Cecília Steiner Weisz.

  2. Nathan J. Weiss (later known as Nathan Harry Weiss): He was born on February 24, 1870, in Budapest, Hungary. Nathan also pursued a career in entertainment, particularly as a song-and-dance man.

  3. Gottfried William “G.W.” Weiss (later known as William Nathan Weiss): He was born on October 26, 1869, in Budapest, Hungary. G.W. Weiss worked as a business manager for Houdini and later became a producer and promoter of magic shows.

  4. Ehrich Weiss (later known as Harry Houdini): He was born on March 24, 1874, in Budapest, Hungary. Ehrich, the most famous of the siblings, adopted the stage name Harry Houdini and achieved worldwide fame for his daring escapes and illusions.

  5. Leopold D. Weiss (later known as Leo Wiess): He was born on July 7, 1879, in New York City, United States. Leo primarily worked as a lawyer.

  6. Gladys Carrie Weiss: She was born on February 27, 1882, in New York City, United States. Little is known about Gladys’s life, as she passed away in infancy.

  7. Carrie Gladys Weiss: She was born on February 22, 1887, in New York City, United States. Carrie, the youngest of the siblings, had a brief life and died in childhood.
