Eilleen Regina Edwards was born on August 28, 1965, in Windsor, Ontario, to Sharon (née Morrison) and Clarence Edwards.
Her sisters’ names are Jill and Carrie Ann. When she was two years old, her mother and daughters moved to Timmins, Ontario, as a result of her parents’ divorce. The Ojibwa couple Jerry and Sharon Twain, who reside in the nearby Mattagami First Nation, gave birth to Mark.
