Jim Jordan is a Republican politician who has represented Ohio’s 4th congressional district since 2007. Jordan grew up in Champaign County, Ohio, as the son of Shirley and John Jordan. Jordan went to Graham High School and wrestled for them, graduating in 1982. Jordan won state championships all four years of high school, compiling a 156-1 record. Jordan then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he won two NCAA Division I wrestling championships.

A retired wrestling referee filed a lawsuit in November 2019 alleging that he warned Jordan and Hellickson about Strauss’s misconduct but that they ignored his warning. Jordan said that the referee was “another person making a false statement”. Jordan’s knowledge of the alleged abuse has never been proven.
