A group of Ghanaians has lambasted the Minister of Energy, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, for challenging residents to issue a load-shedding schedule if they felt the country was in a power crisis.
In recent months, there has been unpredictable power supply throughout the country, and many Ghanaians have asked that the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and the Energy Ministry produce a load-shedding schedule so that people may organize their life.
Both the Energy Ministry and the ECG have disputed “dumsor” allegations. As a result, they argued that a timeframe was unnecessary.
On March 25, the Energy Minister, commonly known as Napo, stated that demanding a load-shedding timeline is equal to wishing the country harm.
He said, “Let those who want the timetable bring it.””I don’t aware of a timeline because the ECG has stated that it is unnecessary. “Why would someone wish evil on the country?” he inquired.
Many people who condemned the statement as demeaning and disrespectful to others said in the series of comments;
