Carolyn Bryant Donham, the White woman whose accusation led to the murder of Black youngster Emmett Till in Mississippi in 1955 – and whose participation in the horrible death was recently examined by a grand jury – has died in Louisiana, the Calcasieu Parish coroner’s office reported to CNN.

Carolyn Bryant was born in Cruger, Mississippi, on July 23, 1934. Previously, she was married to Roy Bryant, Gryphon Chandler, and David Donham. On April 25, 2023, she died in Westlake, Louisiana, USA.
