Kevin Michael Costner born January 18, 1955, is an actor, producer, film director, and musician from the United States. He has garnered two Academy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, a Primetime Emmy Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Costner became interested in performing and dancing during his final year of college, and after graduation, he married Cindy Silva, who worked as Cinderella at Disneyland. The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, and on the way back, they met actor Richard Burton, who had purchased all of the seats surrounding him for privacy.
Burton agreed to speak with Costner after completing his book. Costner, who had been taking acting classes but hadn’t told his wife about his ambition to be an actor, kept a close eye on Burton and approached when he pointed.
Costner informed Burton that he would rather avoid the controversy that accompanied Burton and wondered if he would have to put up with it if he became an actor.
