Over the weekend and into this week, news of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s impending reshuffle has dominated headlines.
Today, February 14, is the day that the aforementioned restructuring will take place, according to confirmation from pro-government sources including Asaase Radio and the Daily Guide Newspaper.
The reorganization reportedly affects three regional ministers in addition to the ministerial and deputy ministerial roles.
As Aasia News revealed on Tuesday, February 13, the announcement of the modifications to the ministers’ lineup is slated for Wednesday, February 14, Valentine’s Day, according to our Jubilee House sources.
The report stated, “This Tuesday afternoon saw several ministers who are expected to be affected and other MPs who are expected to benefit from the ministerial changes move to the fourth floor of Jubilee House.”
Up to 12 active, substantive ministers of state, including ten cabinet ministers, two regional ministers, and a few deputy ministers, could be impacted, Asaase News reported, citing sources close to the Presidency.
It is also expected that the losses will affect roughly seven deputy ministers. According to the research, the majority side of the House’s backbenchers many of whom will occupy the open seats are anticipated to reap the most benefits.
Several reports have indicated that Akufo-Addo, who is set to go for an official visitation to Germany, will forward the nominees to the Speaker of Parliament later today.
