The 2024 edition of Africa’s largest travel business gathering, Africa’s Travel Indaba, has officially kicked off.
The three-day event kicked off Tuesday, May 14, at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli Convention Centre (ICC) in Durban in the KwaZulu-Natal province.
Addressing the delegates, exhibitors, buyers and the press at the opening ceremony, South Africa’s Tourism Minister Patricia de Lille indicated that the country’s visa-free pact with Ghana has boosted arrivals from the West African country.
She said South Africa has positioned itself to cater to the needs of tourists and ensure safety and comfort of all passengers.
The organisers of the event have also seen a massive boost in participation among registered exhibitors. The event has surpassed all expectations as their initial goal of targeting 1100 exhibitors reaches 1245.
This incredible accomplishment is a testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of everyone involved in making Africa’s Travel Indaba the premier event it is.
With a diverse range of exhibitors showcasing the best that Africa has to offer, ATI are poised for an exceptional event that will truly highlight the richness and diversity of our continent’s travel industry.
