Actress Silvia Tortosa dies at 77

Silvia Tortosa died on Saturday at the age of 77 in Barcelona following a long battle with cancer. The Union of Actors and Actresses was the one who broke the terrible news via ‘X’, the old Twitter.

The actress, known for her appearances in iconic shows such as Pharmacy Open and Madrid Burns, underwent breast cancer surgery in 2019 after discovering a lump during a checkup. The singer has kept a low profile as his health deteriorated.

The Catalan performer has a lengthy professional background in film, theater, and television. She was well-known for her appearances in iconic Spanish shows such as ‘Arde Madrid’, ‘Curro Jiménez’, ‘Farmacia de Guardia’, and ‘La Trace del Crime’, as well as hosting the musical program Aplausos. She was also a singer and film director, as well as one of the great muses of mainstream filmmaking in the 1970s.
