Aaron Carter’s funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev.

Carter began his career as the lead singer of Dead End, a Tampa rock band formed after the members met at a rock school. He left the band after two years because they were into alternative rock and Carter was into pop. When the Backstreet Boys were the opening act for the Jets in Berlin in March 1997, Carter made his debut as a solo performer, singing a cover of “Crush on You” by The Jets.

After the performance, he signed a record deal, and his debut single, “Crush on You,” was released in the fall of 1997. On December 1, 1997, Carter’s first studio album, Aaron Carter, was made available. The album, which was released in the US on June 16, 1998, was certified gold in Norway, Spain, Denmark, Canada, and Germany.

Another Earthquake!, Carter’s fourth studio album, was released on September 3, 2002, while the musician was on the “Rock, Rap, and Retro” tour.

The ballad “Do You Remember” and the patriotic song “America A.O.” were both included on the album. He sang the song “Through my own Eyes” for the PBS animated series Liberty’s Kids and appeared as a guest star on three episodes of the Nickelodeon television program All That.
