The Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), Sir Sam Jonah, has raised concerns about the prevalence of violence and legal disputes that have led to the disenfranchisement of some Ghanaians during previous election years.

During the launch of the 75th-anniversary celebrations of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) in Accra, Sir Sam Jonah highlighted specific instances of electoral violence in constituencies like Ayawaso West Wuogon and Techiman South. He also mentioned the disenfranchisement of the people of Santrokofi, Akpafu, Lipke, and Lolobi (SALL).

Sir Sam Jonah urged journalists to uphold the values of truth, integrity, and national pride, not only for today but also for future generations.
