During TV3’s Key Points on Saturday, April 13, several important topics were discussed, including the aftermath of the launch of the Performance Tracker platform. Additionally, Global info Analytics suggested that John Mahama is likely to win ahead of the 2024 elections, and Dr. Bawumia rejected LGBTQ+ practices in an Eid-al Fitr message.

Here are 13 key points highlighted from the show:

  1. Election 2024: Mussa Dankwah explains sample size for survey that places Mahama ahead of Bawumia

The Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Mussa Dankwah, defended the methodology used to determine the sample size for their recent survey on the 2024 presidential poll, emphasizing that it was based purely on mathematical calculations rather than subjective opinions.

He emphasized that the sample size was derived using the voting population in Ghana as a basis, ensuring statistical accuracy in their findings.

He explained, “It is Mathematics, you can prove it or disprove it. Nobody can tell you that this will not give you this result.”

2. Anti-LGBTQ+ Bill: NPP MP rejects LGBTQ+ practices

Member of Parliament for Sissala East Constituency and Deputy Minister for Sanitation and Water Resources, Amidu Issahaku Chinnia, firmly voiced his disapproval of same-sex relationships, labeling them as signs of mental illness. He commended Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his stance against LGBTQ+ activities.

Mr. Chinnia stated, “I see it as illness when a man is attracted to a man or a woman is attracted to a woman, it means that there is something wrong with your mind.”

He reiterated his rejection of LGBTQ+ practices and emphasized that no NPP MP openly supports such activities.

13. Survey deployed in 82 constituencies

Executive Director of Global Info Analytics, Musa Dankwah, defended the survey conducted in 82 constituencies, highlighting the comprehensive nature of the sample size. The survey results indicated John Mahama leading the polls, with critics questioning its significance.
