The entire council of Zongo Chiefs is strictly asking the NPP Flagbearer, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, to first-rate the Energy Minister and MP for Manhyia South, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prmpeh, as his immediate and precise running mate.
However, it was noted at the distinct Quran recitation and prayer to Allah for the NPP party’s exceptional victory in the year 2024 general elections, thus January 19, 2024, at Kantudu, behind the Kumasi central mosque, held after Magrib prayers. The Zongo chiefs also, however, prayed for Dr. Mahamadu to select the Energy Minister.
Meanwhile, speaking on behalf of the entire prayer congregation after the said Quran recitation, the Chief of Frafra and the president of the entire council of Zongo chiefs by the name of Alhaji Musah said that they were praying for Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia and Dr. Prempeh, respectively, because they have what it takes, the skills, and, above all, the natural endowed gifts to become leaders.
Furthermore, he was adamant that they could guide the country and our mathematician, Ghana, to the pinnacle, as demanded by their fellow Ghanaians.
He proceeded to quote, “It is our wish that Dr. Bawumia will be sworn in as president on January 7, 2025, with Dr. NAPO as his vice president. I know that our toil and endurance tonight in this recitation will not be in vain,” Alhaji Musah said strongly.
Meanwhile, with his statement, he strongly said Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh is our brother, and we ask Dr. Bawumia, who himself is a Zongo boy, to select him for them to take Ghana forward,” he said.
As per the actual political pundits, the Energy Minister’s national appeal is demonstrated by the special endorsement and prayer of the entire Zongo of Chiefs council. It is worth noting that the minister was named after an Asante Islamic cleric named Nana Poku, which is why NAPO comes from that name.
