Pele, the former Santos FC star and footballing icon, has had his fair share of health issues in recent years, until his demise. The 79-year-old former Brazil player, however, lost his younger brother, Zoca, to prostate cancer.

Zoca was two years younger than Pele, but he shared his brother’s love of football. Zoca played for the popular Brazilian club Santos FC, though he never reached the same heights as his older brother. Zoca had four goals in 15 games for Santos FC. However, Zoca later became Pele’s advisor, accompanying him throughout his distinguished career.
Bebeto Fornos, Pele’s advisor and spokesperson, stated that Zoka was buried in Santos in the absence of Pele, who was isolated in his home due to the emerging Coronavirus.
