Jamaican singer, songwriter, musician, actor, and philanthropist Ziggy Marley was born on October 17, 1968. He is the son of Rita and Bob Marley, two legendary reggae musicians.
He managed the Marley family band Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers until 2002, recording eight studio albums with them.
Following the breakup, Ziggy had a successful solo career by releasing eight studio albums under his own record label, Tuff Gong Worldwide. Ziggy records and self-releases all of his music, carrying on his father’s tradition. Marley is a Daytime Emmy Award winner and an eight-time Grammy Award winner.

Orly Marley, an Israeli-born woman who worked as the vice president of the William Morris Agency, a Hollywood-based talent agency, was married to Ziggy Marley. Abraham Selassie Robert Nesta Marley and Isaiah Sion Robert Nesta, who had just been born, were the parents of Marley, who was born on January 5, 2007.
