American television and film actress, Yvette Mimieux, who is best known for her performance in iconic films like The Time Machine and The Black Hole, died on Monday, 17th January. She was 80.

Mimieux, the three Golden Globe Awards nominee has more than 36 years of professional experience as an actress who featured in many super hit movies like Where the Boys Are, The Time Machine, Light in the Piazza, Toys in the Attic, Dark of the Sun and The Picasso Summer.

Yvette Carmen Mimieux was born in Los Angeles in the year 1942.

Her father, René Mimieux, immigrated from France and her mother, Maria Montemayor, was from Mexico.

Mimieux made her debut in episodes of the TV shows Yancy Derringer and One Step Beyond.

Michelle Bega, her family representative confirmed that she died “peacefully” in her sleep of natural causes.

There won’t be a memorial service.

Mimieux was very private about her personal life while alive, and it will be the same in death.
