Isabella Idibia, the eldest daughter of the legendary Nigerian musician, 2Baba, and his wife Annie Idibia, has expressed her displeasure with the way her parents were portrayed in the 2022 South African reality show “Young, Famous, and African.”
The reality show depicted Annie as a nagging woman who tolerated her husband’s cheating behaviour, despite 2Baba boldly stating in front of other stars that “men are wired to cheat.”
In a video message shared on her social media account, Isabella addressed the misrepresentation of her parents in the reality show, describing it as “so wrong.” She emphasized that the portrayal was not an accurate reflection of her parents’ true selves.
Isabella further explained that her attempts to defend her parents were often dismissed because of her age, with people questioning her credibility based on social media perceptions.
She reiterated that only those within the family truly knew the whole story and that outsiders could never fully understand the dynamics.
She concluded by emphasizing that the depiction of her parents in “Young, Famous, and African” was not an accurate representation and did not reflect the true essence of their relationship.
Overall, Isabella’s statement sheds light on the challenges of having personal lives displayed in the public eye and the importance of seeking a deeper understanding beyond surface perceptions.
