Dr. Gideon Boako, the Parliamentary candidate for Tano South under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), recently urged his constituents to prioritize voting for the party’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, over himself.
In a statement made on Kumasi-based Hello FM, Dr. Boako emphasized the importance of securing a decisive victory for Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming presidential election to implement his vision for Ghana’s development effectively.
The spokesperson for the Vice President stressed the need for a strong mandate for Dr. Bawumia, stating, “My dear constituents, I know you have confidence in me, but I implore you to vote massively for Dr. Bawumia. His leadership is crucial for our nation’s progress.” Dr. Boako’s remarks have been viewed as a strategic move to rally support for Dr. Bawumia’s presidential bid, uniting the NPP front for the upcoming elections.
Dr. Gideon highlighted the strategic benefits to the Tano North Constituency if they vote in large numbers for Dr. Bawumia to become president. He noted, “Tano North will be closer to a Bawumia’s government than we have ever been to any government since independence, so let us be mindful of that.”
This call for support aligns with Dr. Boako’s belief in the positive impact Dr. Bawumia’s government can have on the region.
