If Arsenal get a competitive offer, Villarreal will be unable to stop the transfer of Yeremy Pino, according to Unai Emery.
The 19-year-old international from Spain has a €80 million (£67.5 million) release clause in his contract, and the Gunners have made a sizable offer for him.
Pino is one of La Liga’s most promising young players and has drawn interest from Liverpool, but Arsenal was the first to respond, and considering Villarreal’s current financial predicament, the club may be compelled to accept their cheap offer.
AS reports that Villarreal will likely accept any offer between €40 and €50 million to address the club’s “business concerns,” and that Pino’s willingness to move to the Emirates will now be the determining factor in whether or not the team makes the transfer.
Mikel Arteta, who took over for Emery at the Emirates, is finally reaping the rewards of a William Saliba acquisition from the previous administration.
Saliba made a very promising debut in last weekend’s victory over Crystal Palace.
