Yendi primaries: NPP requests official police report

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has formally requested an official report in the wake of the primary election incident in the Yendi Constituency in order to obtain clarification and comprehension of the circumstances.

The event, which included damaged ballots and defaced property, happened during the counting process, making it impossible for the Electoral Commission to name a winner.

Because of this, the National Executive Committee of the NPP has decided that it is essential to get a thorough and unbiased report outlining the events leading up to the incident.

The NPP’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, expressed the party’s need for immediate response to the issue in a letter to the relevant authorities.

It stated that the report’s goal is to help the party leadership make well-informed decisions by enabling a comprehensive appraisal of the circumstances.

The party wants to make sure that all pertinent information is looked at so that the occurrence in the Yendi Constituency can be resolved in a fair and just manner.
