Yassine Bounou, popularly known as Bono, is a Moroccan goalkeeper who competes for both the Moroccan national team and La Liga club Sevilla. He was born on April 5, 1991.

Bounou received a call-up for the Cameroon-hosted 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. He gained notoriety at the competition for defending Arabic and refusing to communicate with the media in any other language.

Bounou was included in Morocco’s 26-man roster for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on November 10, 2022. In the round of 16 penalty shootout against Spain, Bono made two saves, allowing Morocco to go to the quarterfinals for the first time ever.

He played the most of his career in Spain, earning 56 appearances in Segunda División for Zaragoza and Girona and over 100 La Liga outings for Girona and Sevilla. With Sevilla, he won the UEFA Europa League in 2020.
