In Oyo State, thus Yuroba, under the Lagos State of Nigeria, Daniel Bamidele, a 20-year-old suspected Yahoo Boy, was taken into custody.
On Thursday, January 25, the young man stabbed his parents and was later taken into custody.
Per the noted neighborhood, as her son broke into their house covertly and used a machete to attack her and his father, Daniel’s mother, Titilayo, reportedly fled their Apabielesin neighborhood in Ibadan, Oyo State, with severe injuries and called for assistance.
Surprisingly, witnesses were drawn to this and stormed into the house, holding Daniel down and robbing him of the machete he had been using to attack his parents.
After neighbors took away the long knife from him and released his father, Daniel revealed that he has been making a living for some time now from cybercrime, commonly known as the Yahoo business, as named by most of the localities.
Furthermore, he claimed that his parents were aware that he had already built a three-bedroom house with the money he had received from the cybercrime.
After he recorded a breakthrough, Daniel continued; he promised to get his mother a store and stock it with goods so she could become a successful trader.
Despite his pledge to purchase her a store, he claimed that his mother and older brother conspired to defraud him of N2.5 million.
“I deliberately enticed my mother away from a church program she was participating in, and as soon as we got home, I attacked her with a knife and was already cutting her body when my father attempted to save her from me,” he claimed.
“I attacked my father as well, however, and because they would have killed me if I hadn’t stabbed them both.”
In addition, Daniel also claimed that he used a knife to attack his parents for giving him a false identity, making the magical black soap he received from a white-garment church priest meaningless. He went on to say that he had designated his older brother as his next of kin in his bank records, yet that same older brother had reportedly been trying to use his money wisely.
Daniel declared and made known to the public that “I am (he is) a 200-level student at LAUTECH, and I used the money I generated from my Yahoo business to build a three-bedroom bungalow. I’m upset with my parents for giving me a false name rather than my mother’s genuine name.
“I have been using a specific black magic soap lately. I received the soap from Matthew, the priest of a church that wears white garments.
As a result, I bought the generator for Pastor Mathew’s church in Ogbomosho, which is close to Ona Grammar School. “The soap was supposed to bring me luck, but before it would work, I had to say my mother’s name into it.
Also, he quoted as such “My mother informed me that Titilayo is her name. However, it did not function when I called the name of the soap. I became enraged as a result and chose to stab her.
“When he started exhibiting mental illness, I got a call on the phone to come pick up my son from LAUTECH,” she stated. His father handed him some traditional medication to take home with us when we got home.
Nevertheless, after taking the medication, he fell asleep. But when he awoke, he insisted on knowing where his phone was, so I told him that I hadn’t taken it. He struck me multiple times. “He is lying; I never got any money from him.”
Later, it was noted also that, Daniel’s father further charged that his wife was privy to all the details of his son’s foray into the Yahoo company and his construction of a home with the proceeds from
“Strongly, my wife was the one who indulged him (Daniel),” he stated. She didn’t notify me, even though she knew when her son began construction on a house.
