Due to Fifa’s new loan limits policy, Chelsea is reportedly planning to sell some of their up-and-coming stars.
According to reports, highly-touted youngster Xavier Mbuyamba is the latest player to leave the club as the Blues are no longer able to use the loan market as effectively as they once could.
Currently, clubs can no longer loan out more than eight players older than 21 at once due to a new Fifa rule that went into effect at the beginning of July.
Additionally, clubs will be prohibited from borrowing more than eight players at once. The rule may have significant effects on how teams in Europe develop young talent.
It is anticipated that Chelsea, who has become dependent on the loan market to develop players before selling them for a significant profit, will face difficulties this time around.
Chelsea had at least 33 players on loan during the previous summer. This number, which was 41 in 2019, was reportedly spending a brief period of time at other clubs.
Despite being highly regarded at the club, Mbuyamba is reportedly planning to leave, according to credible sources.
