The wrestler for World Wrestling Entertainment, who was regarded as one of the most creative in the business, passed away on Thursday.

His passing was revealed on X, formerly known as Twitter, by Triple H, a WWE legend and the organization’s chief content officer.

“Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed away earlier today,” wrote Triple H, whose real name is Paul Levesque.

“Our thoughts are with his family, and we ask that everyone respect their right to privacy at this time.”

Wyatt’s death was deemed “unexpected” in a piece posted on the WWE website.

Wyatt was a defining superstar of his generation, according to WWE, who praised him for his mesmerizing performances and commanding presence in the ring.

His WWE achievements include numerous championship reigns and well-known feuds with John Cena, the Undertaker, Randy Orton, and, in one unforgettable WrestleMania moment, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Johnson paid respect to the 2017 WWE champion on X after his passing.

“I’m devastated to learn of Bray Wyatt’s passing. I’ve always loved and respected him and the Rotunda family,” he added. Loved his presence, his promotions, his work in the ring, and his relationship with the @wwe universe.

Character that is extremely unusual, cool, and difficult to produce in the pro wrestling industry.

On the ‘Raw’ program of the organization in 2013, Wyatt made his WWE debut.
