William Hart was a legendary tenor vocalist and a cornerstone of Philadelphia soul who died on July 15, 2022.

He had a distinctive voice and was the unmistakable lead singer on a string of R&B ballads that have endured a half-century and are now regarded as genre classics. We are mourning the death of Delfonics co-founder and longtime lead vocalist William “Poogie” Hart today.
