William Goldsmith is a drummer from the United States.
He is best known as a member of Sunny Day Real Estate and a past member of the Foo Fighters.
He began playing drums after being introduced to bands such as The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Elvis Costello and the Attractions by his elder brother.
Back in High school, he and John Atkins established the duet the 13, and subsequently created the hardcore punk band Reason for Hate with his buddy Jeremy Enigk.
Following that, Goldsmith has evolved as an entertainer.
He now drums with Assertion and has toured with Mike Watt and IQU.
