Juan Mata, a former midfielder for Manchester United, is allegedly close to joining Galatasaray of the Turkish Super Lig.
The Spaniard left Manchester United in June when his contract expired, and he is currently looking for a new team.
The MLS, Premier League, and La Liga were rumored to have made Mata offers, but it appears that he will join the Turkish Super Lig instead.
The 34-year-old has reportedly gone to Istanbul to join with Galatasaray after reaching a personal agreement with the team, according to Ali Naci Kucuk.
Mata is anticipated to sign a one-year contract worth €1.8 million (£1.6 million) that will pay him £1.6 million.
Mata, who spent eight years with United and amassed 51 goals and 47 assists, will join Galatasaray, who are now seventh in the league standings with 10 points after their first five games.
