Griffin was a familiar face on Wicked Tuna: Outer Banks, appearing on Seasons 2-5 as he and his crew embarked on their fishing adventures in the waters off North Carolina.
The U.S. Coast Guard provided a statement regarding the incident, revealing that Griffin’s vessel had capsized near Oregon Inlet.
The search for a second occupant of the vessel was still ongoing, with multiple agencies including the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission and the US Coast Guard involved in the investigation.
