Lily Rose Beatrice Allen, an English singer-songwriter and actor, was born on May 2, 1985. She is the daughter of filmmaker Alison Owen and actor Keith Allen.

Her musical career began in 2005 when she posted some of her voice recordings online. The exposure led to BBC Radio 1 playback and a recording deal with Regal Recordings.

It’s Not Me, It’s You, her second studio album, deviated from the first one’s ska and reggae elements by favouring an electropop sound in 2009.
