On Thursday, the FBI raided and arrested Michigan GOP gubernatorial candidate Ryan Kelley’s Allendale home, according to a spokesman.
Kelley was detained “on misdemeanor charges related from the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol breach,” according to the US Department of Justice, and is scheduled to appear in federal court in Grand Rapids on Thursday.
Kelley, a real estate agent, was at the Capitol in Washington, D.C. on Jan. 6, 2021, when protestors rioted and illegally entered the building, though he never confirmed he was there and has denied doing anything wrong.
