Petyr Baelish, often known as Littlefinger, is a fictional character in the fantasy book series A Song of Ice and Fire by American author George R. R. Martin and its television adaptation Game of Thrones. On King Robert’s small council, Littlefinger, who first appeared in 1996’s A Game of Thrones, is in charge of the finances.
He grew up in Riverrun alongside Catelyn Stark and her two siblings. He then makes an appearance in Martin’s books A Clash of Kings (1998), A Storm of Swords (2000), and A Feast for Crows (2005). He will appear in the soon-to-be-released novel The Winds of Winter. Littlefinger’s cunning and unbridled ambition are his defining traits.
Baelish, who originated from a modest family with little wealth or influence, rose to positions of power in King’s Landing through bribes, connections he forged at Riverrun, and trickery.
Since then, he has been directly blamed for a number of significant occurrences that had an impact on Westeros as a result of his various intrigues, such as the War of the Five Kings, the accusation of Tyrion Lannister of trying to kill Bran Stark, the downfall of Lord Eddard Stark, and the demise of Lord Jon Arryn and King Joffrey Baratheon.
