Philippe Coutinho is a Brazilian Footballer. On June 12, 1992, in Rio de Janeiro, he was born to architect José Carlos Correia and his wife, Esmerelda Coutinho. He grew raised in Rio’s northern Rocha area.

He was fascinated to football from a young age. He frequently accompanied his elder brothers, Cristiano and Leandro, to a nearby concrete football pitch.

He began by playing futsal there, and after demonstrating exceptional football ability, he was accepted into a local football academy.

In a competition, youth coaches from the Brazilian football team ‘Vasco da Gama’ saw his skill and approached his father. He joined the club’s youth system after attending a trial session.

His career blossomed from there leading him to feature for teams like Liverpool, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona.

In 2014–2015, he was named to the ‘PFA Premier League Team of the Year,’ and in 2015–2016, he was awarded the ‘Liverpool FC Fans’ Player of the Year’.

Aston Villa recently asked for the services of the little magician in a 33 million euro move.

Why is Coutinho called the little magician?

He gained the nickname ‘Little Magician‘ for his dribbling, passing, and long-range hitting abilities, as well as his vision.
