According to Entertainment Tonight, Kelly Clarkson’s sudden divorce from Brandon Blackstock, her husband of over seven years, resulted from what she learned about their relationship while quarantining with him in Montana.
The reason behind Clarkson’s divorce from Blackstock was revealed by a source to the media outlet. Together, Blackstock and Clarkson are parents to two kids. She reports to him as well.
Why is Clarkson divorcing her husband?
She gave the reason for “irreconcilable differences” at the time but subsequently acknowledged on her program that she “didn’t see” it coming.
During the season debut of her show, Clarkson declared, “2020 has been a dumpster fire,”
“2020 has brought a lot of change also to my personal life. didn’t see anything coming that came”.
“But what I’m dealing with is hard because it involves more than just my heart. It involves a lot of little hearts.”
“You know, we have four kids and divorce is never easy, and we’re both from divorced families, so we know the best thing here is to protect our children and their little hearts,” Clarkson added.
Following the settlement of their divorce in March 2022, according to court records acquired by The Blast, Clarkson was mandated to pay Blackstock a little over $1.3 million in addition to $45,601 per month in child support.
